A final-year research project exploring how disused public space could be regenerated by the innovative use of discarded materials. The resulting prototype device is an interactive, flexible and unique public bench built primarily from scrap wheelbarrows and construction scaffold boards.

The component parts are delivered by car and unloaded at a chosen location in the city, they are then transported to a suitable public space via foot using the simple modified wheelbarrow transportation device. The bench is disconnected and immediately ready to use by the general public - flexible in a variety of spaces, configurations and uses - reclaiming a space with the use of reclaimed materials.
